Do you provide response cards with the response management service?

No. We provide a service which eliminates the need for a self-addressed, stamped response card envelope. Once you've signed up with our service, we will assign an extension to you. You can then print the toll-free number and web page address on the invitation, reception folder or response card piece of your wedding invitation set.

Where do I print the toll-free number and web page address?

The toll-free phone number and web page address is most commonly printed on the lower left corner of the reception folder or card. You may also choose to have another folder or card with the response information. Sometimes the response information is printed on the invitation if the invitation is large enough to accommodate the additional information.

Can you collect guests' menu choices?

Yes! We indicate the menu choices either above the response form in the Special Notes section or in place of one of the quotations on the web page. We include your menu choices in the voice message your guests hear. Menu preferences are indicated on the updated guest response and the summary numbers are included in the final email on the date that your guest count is due. There is no additional charge for collecting this information.

How do I get an update on my guests that have responded?

Your guest responses are always available to you on a password-protected web page. Keep in mind that the majority of your guests will respond near the end of your R.S.V.P. deadline. Do not panic if you have a 30% response a week before the deadline. This is not unusual.

Can I order invitations without the RSVP service?

Yes. We offer a wide selection of Carlson Craft and McPhersons wedding invitations and accessories. We appreciate your use of our RSVP service, but we are happy to sell only the wedding invitations.

Do I have to order invitations through RSVP Today to get your RSVP service?

No. Although we would appreciate your order, we are happy to provide our RSVP management service to you.

What should my guest list include?

Your guest list should include the following information:

  • First and Last Name of everyone invited (i.e. John and Mary Doe OR John Doe and Mary Smith)
  • Phone Number if you would like us to call if no one responds.

How should I send my guest list?

We need an electronic copy of your guest list (i.e. MS Excel) which can be emailed it to us. If you choose our personalized web page, you can also use our 'Add a Guest' online feature. This feature will be made available once your account has been setup. Your guest list must be complete before you mail your invitations. If you choose our personalized web page, any last-minute updates to your list can be made online by clicking the 'Administration' link at the bottom of the page. If you do not want us to contact a particular guest, please do not include his or her phone number on your guest list.

Some of my guests have called in and responded - Why did you call them back?

We may have returned their call because we did not clearly understand their name or their message. Another common reason for a call back is that one guest may have responded for another guest, but did not identify the last name of the second party. They may also have requested a return phone call.

Should I contact RSVP Today if I know whether or not a guest is attending?

Please do! If a guest contacts you directly, they may be a bit confused when we attempt to contact them. Should some guests respond directly to you, please use the administration form of your personalized web page, send an email or call us. Thanks!

What if I need to update my guest list AFTER it has been sent?

Your guest list should be complete before we receive it, but if you need to make modifications, we understand. Any additions, deletions or modifications can be made using your administration form of your personalized web page. Since your initial charge is based on the total number of invitations, any substantial additions may be charged accordingly. If you do not want us to contact a particular guest, please do not include his or her phone number on your guest list.
